Mountain residents thank firefighters
Press Enterprise- Jimmy Reid and 1,800 others like him jammed a high school auditorium Saturday in Lake Arrowhead to lavish gratitude on firefighters. "I just closed on my house up here three months ago," said Reid, whose home in Running Springs was spared from destruction by the Old Fire. "I'm very grateful for the people who risked their lives for my house." Hundreds more people watched the two-hour presentation from the doorway outside the packed gym at Rim of the World High School, or in a nearby theater via closed-circuit television.

Celebration!
Mountain News- The screams emanating from the Rim High School Gym on Saturday, Nov. 22 were the joyful, foot stomping, ear-splitting sounds of thousands expressing their appreciation to firefighters, law enforcement and service-connected personnel being honored for their service during the Old Fire.

Benefit Raises $79K
Mountain News- Despite a wind chill that took the temperature to the mid-twenties for most of the day, nearly 2,000 people turned out to celebrate, enjoy friends, and to give to those who were affected by the Old Fire at Saturday's Rebuilding Mountain Hearts and Lives benefit.

Mountain Friends & Neighbors is an organization that has mobilized out of concern and compassion for the people in our mountain communities who have lost homes or businesses. We believe the need is urgent and immediate for us to help heal the devastation caused by the recent wildfires. We have no political, religious, social or philosophical affiliation. Our mission is to come together to help those in our community whose lives have been so severely impacted by the fires

Grand Prix Fire takes stage at association meeting
San Bernardino Sun- Once a year a few hundred San Antonio Heights residents gather for a neighborhood association meeting. The town-hall atmosphere usually brings out strong opinions and active community members.
