Mountain residents thank firefighters
Press Enterprise- Jimmy Reid and 1,800 others like him jammed a high school auditorium Saturday in Lake Arrowhead to lavish gratitude on firefighters. "I just closed on my house up here three months ago," said Reid, whose home in Running Springs was spared from destruction by the Old Fire. "I'm very grateful for the people who risked their lives for my house." Hundreds more people watched the two-hour presentation from the doorway outside the packed gym at Rim of the World High School, or in a nearby theater via closed-circuit television. Visit Website ]
